Alumni-71 is the most versatile batch, SMS Medical College, Jaipur ever had. Started with an initial head count of 150, its strength soon swelled up to 180. After qualifying, many of the alumni left India, excelled themselves in various fields of Medicine/business and have bought laurels to SMS and our country. Other joined Medical colleges in various parts of country/established their own hospitals and excelled in their respective specialties.
The success of alumni 71 can be gauzed from the fact that as many as 6 of the alumni were felicitated at the recently organized 7th decade celebrations of the college, the highest for any batch. Alumni -71 is now setting another land mark in the history of SMS. It is publishing its digital directory. It was a dream project of our colleague Raj Bansal who generously volunteered to sponsor the project. Although, it carries my name as editor yet several alumni friends have contributed immensely. I swear, without their help it was impossible to gather so much information. Hope the directory will be useful to all of us.
